What about Networking Thursday?
Not a bad idea when you think about it.
Monday you have all the standard office and business functions to keep on track for the week.
Tuesday is the most popular day for reps to stop by (ever thought about that?)
Wednesday - Some people consider it hump day, I like to think of it as review day - how's my week going and how can I make the most of Thursday and Friday.
...
Friday - Pay day, Kudos day, and for many, wind down for the weekend.
But Thursday! Now that's a great day to network! (any day is, but why not make a point of it!)
On Thursdays, I like to meet with my network, either in person, luncheon, or by phone, at the minium by email. Here's how my networking thursdays go.
Email to my referral partners, just to keep in touch.
Lunch time I meet with my Rotary Club, primarly community service, but who better to network with than a bunch of community minded business owners.
Arrange for a PM coffee break, the goal to improve our networking relationship.
Call at least 10 people in my network to see how they are doing, and ask if they have any new services or products that I can keep in mind when meeting or talking to others.
The best part of networking thursday is that it make Friday Sweet for all concerned. What a great way to start the weekend.
Of course, you could dedicate a part of any day to networking, and that is the idea! Set up a networking goal and a time to implement the activities that lead to that goal.
Decide it, Set it, Do it!
(Ready, Set, Go!)
