Networking at the beach

You would think living in South Florida, that I'm talking about networking down at the beach, sorry, going a different direction.

I'm thinking of those folks I know that act like an Ostrich. Burying their head in the sand and expecting to find networkers down there.

(Visions of business suits on the beach, head down in the sand, brief case at their side...)

I speak to quite a few business people when I'm out and and about pushing MVBizX, and so many of them insist that they don't network and networking doesn't work!

If I ask them if they ever mention their business in conversation, they always affirm. If I ask them if they have ever got any business by doing so and most times they affirm that too.

"So you were networking" (No we were not! they insist) "and you got business from it"

So why not practice the art of networking?

Pull your head out of the sand and go talk to those other suits on the beach!

Of course, (and you knew I was going to say something like this) you could use MVBizX to send them a Virtual Business Card inviting them to a coffee.
